Generator Block Diagram - Multi-Fuel Microprocessor Closed-Loop Feedback-Controlled System
It provides variable ignition timing to match different types of gaseous fuels. Our ECU is designed to adjust the precise ignition timing of sparks to provide the best power and fuel economy. It dynamically adjusts the ignition timing to control engine speed when sudden load is added on the generator.
Conventional Single Cylinder Engine is equipped with fixed ignition timing mechanism for operation on petrol. Converting conventional fixed ignition timing single cylinder engine to run on Natural Gas / LPG / Biogas generators without ECU may cause:
Even with suitable carburetor jetting on a conventional engine, horsepower will decrease approximately 3.5% for each 1,000 feet increase in altitude. The effect of altitude on horsepower will intensify if no carburetor modification is made. If a generator jetted for a high altitude is used at a lower altitude, the lean air / fuel mixture will impact upon performance and may cause overheat and seriously damage the engine.
With Jensen Power MP5500/ 6500 generator, you do not have to worry about elevation. Our ECU does all mixture adjustments automatically regardless of elevation and temperature.
